Dear all, and especially @Alex_Shapley @simon @Andrey_Malakhov @James_Dunning @Ross_Miller @SomayehM
Over the last couple of months, we have defined the working areas to move forwards within. I’ve been in touch with everyone about what those groups are, and who said they would be able to support which. I’ve share links to those working areas in the Community forum.
It is time for those groups to fledge the nest and take on progressing without mummy (me) pestering or interfering (unless you ask me to) :-)
There are some great examples of people getting on and doing:
Look at this forum and the exams @simon
Look at our promo video @MarjanaS did
Merch is coming along @Alex_Shapley @Veronica
@Natalia_Jobson kick stared a lot of thought about messaging
@ChrisB is a huge contributor to discussion and almost every aspect of what we do
This is great - can we do more?
This posting area includes all the discussion about purpose and strategy, and has laid out a framework - the ppt is here
As a reminder - the areas are:
BIG CIC Revenue
Body of Knowledge Content
Body of Knowledge Messaging
Engaging the Community
Operation and Website
Publicity and Events
Is there anyone in this group who can take on the role of operations manager?
In essence, I believe this role is to help the groups progress - to enable us to focus on task and facilitate volunteers to help.
The first job would be to get someone in each area to be in charge.
I would suggest second is ot set up a simple Kanban for each group - and a cadence of quick meetings to touch base to add to the list, discuss issues, progress tasks.
I think if we can do this now we can progress sooo much better - as at the moment I’m guessing people are willing to help but are waiting to be asked or manages.
Who would like to own this?
